This is a story about the adventures of two dogs. It gives a dog’s eye perspective to many ordinary, seemingly mundane things.

Ruff (Rufus) is a Scottish Terrier. He is black and shaggy and gets overly excited. He is also a little nervy. He has far too much imagination for his own good and reads books which only fire him up more. He tends to get a bit confused between real life and his dreams.

Tumble (Thumbelina) is a Pembrokeshire Corgi. She describes the breed as, ‘an ancient, Welsh, wolf like breed, not overly tall, used for herding cattle, very graceful and beautiful.’ She thinks quite a lot of herself but is willing to get her paws dirty to do what is right.

Very much like brother and sister, Ruff and Tumble tease each other, play tricks and banter a lot, but ultimately they look out for each other.

Ruff and Tumble are dogs with jobs: as Pack Protectors they must keep invaders out of the Pack Lands. This is mainly achieved by barking a lot.

Unfortunately it begins to snow. Two Pack Lands down the street there’s a snowman in the garden and Ruff believes it is a Dog Eating Yeti sent to keep an eye on them whilst the rest of the yetis launch an invasion.

Tumble doesn’t believe any of it until they are taken for a walk in the snow and find the place riddled with yetis. The next day there’s one spying on them right next door. Clearly the invasion is on and it’s up to Ruff and Tumble to defend the Pack Lands and defeat the yeti invasion.
